We had this picturesque view that welcomed us in the morning.. what a bliss!
Our breakfast table at 7am, under the sun though… but food always tastes better with a nice view 🙂
We started our trek at 8.30am. The rock surface looked so incredible that I can look at it the whole day.
Along the way, we saw some mani rocks with Buddhist inscriptions.
We continued our trek towards Tsermangchen La, couldn’t believe I’ve gone this far.
We reached Tsermangchen La at about 11am and had our lunch break here. Our avatars were out for a picture too 😀
The winding motorable roads can be seen clearly from here.
We continued our trek towards Hemis Shukpachen village, which looks like a faraway patch of green.
We reached the village after an hour of trek, and we saw a monastery in the vicinity.
We reached our campsite at 1pm after another half an hour walk in the village. Our tents were setup near to a guesthouse this time.
After a break, we visited the nearby monastery with a gigantic Buddha statue. There were nice views from the monastery too.
We went back to our campsite for some tea, then we took a stroll to check out our friendly neighbours 🙂
The beautiful sunset that seemed to be smiling at us too 🙂 We had our dinner in the guesthouse… delicious momo and fried rice.
